Development Engineer for Flight Control, Hydraulics, and Actuator Systems

An exciting assignment as a Development Engineer for Flight Control, Hydraulics, and Actuators awaits you at our partner Airbus Helicopters Deutschland (ECD) in Donauwörth.Your Tasks Mission: Design, development, series supervision, and ensuring flight safety of helicopter flight control, hydraulics, and actuation systems. In the role of development engineer: - Constructive support for the entire product lifecycle, taking into account function, weight, cost, certification, manufacturing, and maintainability aspects. - Conceptualization, detailed design, and integration of flight control, hydraulics, and actuation systems and components in CATIA V5. - Application of primarily metallic materials for the design of flight control kinematics, utilizing detailed knowledge of metallic materials, manufacturing processes, and surface treatments. - Integration of flight control, hydraulics, and actuation systems into the helicopter, coordinating the corresponding interfaces. - Conducting assembly and integration studies, creating detailed designs and construction documents in CATIA V5 & VPM. - Kinematics analysis regarding control paths, tolerances, and rigging in CATIA V5. - Release of construction documents and documents in SAP or Windchill. - Contribution to the creation of documentation for design and construction, as well as qualification and certification documents. - Contribution to the creation of maintenance concepts and maintenance documentation. - Modification of existing design/manufacturing documents and documents for the implementation of product improvements and treatment of obsolescence. - Contribution to maintaining airworthiness. Close cooperation with architects, airframe, avionics, autopilot, flight physics, structural verification/loads, final assembly, customer support, flight test. Active support of the international work environment with close German-French cooperation. Collaboration with development partners. Collaboration with German, French, and international suppliers for development, qualification, testing, series supervision, obsolescence removal, and ensuring flight safety.

Your Profile

Education
  • Minimum Master's/Diploma degree in Engineering or Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or Automation Engineering
Work Experience
  • Minimum 2 years in Engineering
  • Production
Language Skills
  • Fluent in German
  • Fluent in English
  • Proficiency in French is desirable
IT Skills
  • Excellent knowledge of CATIA V5 and VPM
  • Knowledge of CATIA Kinematics is desirable
  • Knowledge of SAP is desirable
  • Knowledge of Windchill is desirable
