Your tasks

The department, with its three divisions, ensures that CM processes are effectively applied to the project and product, taking into account contractual requirements, and that project-relevant CM tasks are efficiently completed. This ensures that project and product goals are achieved within performance, time, and cost constraints with minimal risk. The employees in this department are assigned to the project core teams throughout the product and project lifecycle. The position holder works closely with project managers or product managers and is appointed at the start of the planning phase. The position holder, as a Configuration Manager located in Ulm, is responsible for the following tasks:

• Definition and specification of CM interfaces (internal and external)
• Creation of CM plans in German and English
• Creation of product structures (identification of configuration items and mapping in CM tools)
• Ensuring the application of the configuration process
• Conducting release boards (RBs)
• Establishing baselines and documenting current statuses
• Conducting internal and external change management (Change Control Boards)
• Creation of evaluations and status reports
• Participation in internal and external international project teams
• Coordination with subcontractors and customers

Your profile

• Completed degree in industrial engineering or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in project management, configuration management, and various CM standards (e.g. ISO 10007, EIA-649 etc.)
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of SAP PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and Serena Business Manager/Dimensions are advantageous
• Fluent language skills in German and English
• Experience in software configuration management and production processes is advantageous
• Ability and social competence to implement or introduce CM guidelines
• Ability to give presentations to international customers and partners
• Good communication skills to ensure information flow
• Ability to integrate into a team
• High sense of responsibility, resilience, and organizational talent
