Your tasks

  • Define concepts for the Starlab Crew and Ground Support Personnel (GSP) training facility, including simulators and physical training facilities for system and payload training activities
  • Support the definition of training methods and tools, such as classrooms, simulators of varying fidelity, self-study materials, and/or interactive computer-based applications
  • Explore the use of next-generation training tools and approaches, such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence-guided, remote, just-in-time, and/or on-demand training technologies
  • Evaluate options for training facility related trades, such as reusing existing facilities versus building new ones
  • Define requirements for training programs
  • Assist in defining the Crew and GSP certification process and requirements
  • Collaborate closely with other Starlab teams, including Crew Health and Medical System (H&MS), S&MA, SE&I, Robotics, Flight Crew, Ground Support, and Mission Operations teams
  • Support the Human Systems Integration (HIS) process
  • Participate in Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) validation and test activities
  • Contribute to associated RFIs/RFPs
  • Participate in program reviews
  • Coordinate with other training teams, such as NASA, Commercial Crew Transport and Cargo
  • Perform other duties as agreed and required
  • Manage training offers within complex Aircraft programs
  • Define the training policy and implement strategies for specific customers
  • Manage simulation/pilot & technician training projects
  • Handle all project management office activities, such as budget control, planning, and risk analysis for training programs

Your Profile

  • Study of aerospace engineering, electrical engineering/mechanical engineering, computer science, or equivalent
  • Proficient in English language, at least at a negotiating level
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the operation/engineering of spacecraft, preferably with a focus on mission training and/or operations
  • Knowledge of spacecraft system and subsystem architectures, as well as mission training concepts
  • Ability to define and support programmatic aspects such as schedule and risks
  • Ability to create and review technical documentation, such as SPECs, IRD/ICD
  • Experience with systems engineering processes and techniques, such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools (e.g. CAMEO), requirements engineering and tools (DOORS, JAMA)
  • Basic knowledge in computer-aided design
  • Ability to support integration and testing activities for hardware and software
  • Efficient work in a multidisciplinary and transnational team
  • Ability to learn quickly, work proactively, and work autonomously with attention to detail
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Flexible working hours and open-mindedness
  • Flexibility in supporting business orders as needed
