Your responsibilities

For the Mechanical Engineering & Product Data Management department, which falls under Mechanical Engineering, we are looking for a REACH/RoHS specialist for the Product Data Management team at our Ulm location. The department is organized into 2 teams: The Mechanical Engineering team handles constructive projects in both the Airborne and Naval & Ground-Perimeter fields. The Product Data Management team covers the following topics: component management/advisory, material master data management, obsolescence monitoring, environmental analysis (REACH, RoHS), and standards management.

• Assisting with the handling of RoHS/REACH topics within component management
• Supporting the specialists for "Operational Product Environmental Compliance" and the Impact Evaluation Manager
• Operating the corresponding tools (e.g. SAP EHSM) and assisting with RoHS/REACH analyses and inputs into the SCIP database of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA)
• Contributing to the development and implementation of solutions and new ideas during analyses and evaluations
• Advising involved project partners
• Performing completeness analyses of evaluations and supporting the creation of internal statements for product safety records
• Cleansing incomplete material master data and maintaining data in SAP
• Modifying systems for maintenance and evaluation of existing documents in accordance with current guidelines and regulations
• Adhering to aspects such as standardization, export restrictions (e.g. ITAR), and hazardous substance issues (e.g. RoHS, REACH)
• Working closely and collaboratively with component managers from various material classes, as well as with the AGU (Occupational, Health & Environmental Protection) department, development, purchasing, and technology departments
