An exciting assignment awaits you as a Program Controller at our partner Airbus in Manching.
Your tasks
- Understanding the company's operational environment (strategy, governance, challenges, constraints)
- Leading the preparatory financial planning by creating accurate forecasts and guidelines in line with the overall financial situation of the company and questioning business requirements
- Setting and achieving multi-year financial goals
- Developing and executing financial models, simulations, scenarios, and business cases (for projects, mergers and acquisitions, tenders, etc.) to support decision-making and provide a comprehensive view of the financial impacts of business decisions
- Anticipating financial risks and opportunities and advising on mitigation strategies
- Identifying and securing external financing opportunities
Analysis & Consulting:
- Preparing accurate financial reports with appropriate granularity
- Evaluating actual financial performance, analyzing variances, and advising on corrective measures
- Analyzing cost base, revenues, unit costs (airframe/engine), R&D...
- Identifying actionable drivers for optimization and competitive initiatives and monitoring the realization of savings
- Anticipating financial risks and advising on mitigation strategies
- Calculating financial opportunities and supporting execution while ensuring data quality
- Calculating the hourly rate, supporting resource review and defining employee count targets, creating chargeback and cost allocation models
- Approving baskets, reviewing orders below approval threshold (sampling approach), and verifying commitments and provisions
- Initiating cost reallocations and cost transfers as needed
- Communication: Providing relevant information to Investor Relations that supports the Airbus equity story
ENSURING COMPLIANCE AND ENFORCING FINANCING PROCESSES:
- If necessary, defining appropriate financing/cost allocation systems (APA authorization, administrative fees, service charges, equity financing, cash pooling, etc.) together with tax, treasury, and accounting, and triggering corresponding actions (capital injections, service charges, transfer pricing...)
- If necessary, reviewing legally required financial statements of affiliated companies within the scope of responsibility
- Defining a suitable cost accounting structure (cost centers, project codes, etc.) that aligns with business and financial requirements
- If necessary, ensuring that financial processes are defined, documented, and known, particularly for public contracts, tax credits, IAS 38, chargebacks, service recharges...
- Supporting the company in navigating and complying with financial processes
- Ensuring strict compliance with business to finance compliance requirements
- Interacting with auditors as needed
RAISING FINANCIAL AWARENESS IN BUSINESS CAPABILITY:
- Defining and providing a financing toolbox (e.g. business case)
- Defining and sharing a set of references (goals, actual values, pro-forma, financial roadmap, CPN repository...)
- Explaining and enhancing business awareness in financial matters (key terms, corporate finance, technical considerations such as taxes, capitalization...)
* All financial dimensions should be considered: P&L/Cash flow/balance sheet of the program, functional cost base, type/objective matching, workload/nonworkload expenses, fixed/variable expenses, cash/non-cash expenses, revenues/subsidies/tax credits, projects TCAC, unit costs, NRCs, CapEx, inventory, PdPs... All relevant periods (monthly, quarterly, annually, multi-year)
Your Profile
- Completed degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or economics
- At least 4 years of experience in controlling / finance
- Specialized knowledge in MS Office and SAP
- Negotiation skills in German and English
- Strong team player and highly goal-oriented
- Analytical and meticulous work style
