Quality inspector CAT-B1

Your tasks

The position holder works as Certifying Staff CAT-B1 - QCC Flight Line H135/H145 and is responsible for the following tasks:
  • Attesting the quality in accordance with the construction documentation and the airworthiness of the device. This includes issuing airworthiness documents and certificates (e.g. EASA Form 1, Form 52 & 53, piece inspection, logcard, permit to fly).
  • Responsibility for the provision of H/C and/or component assembly delivery documents. Verification of product configuration, conformity, and airworthiness.
  • Supporting the analysis of airworthiness-relevant data from customer feedback (QIR, ISIR actions, MITB actions).
  • Developing systems for error treatment and prevention (risk management, improvement measures, internal and external CAR).
Making decisions in borderline and exceptional cases within one's own area of responsibility, initiating actions, and monitoring them if necessary in coordination with other operational departments.
  • Instructing and supporting employees entrusted with inspection tasks in case of problems.
  • Coordinating and aligning Q-decisions and finding solutions in series processes and for new launches.
Further developing existing procedures, methods, systems, and test equipment.
  • Supporting improvement measures or QM procedures in the relevant departments.
  • Conducting activities on-site with the customer (worldwide), possibly over a longer period of time (e.g. retrofit - on site).
  • In addition, you will support the handover of the end product to the customer at the customer centers or, if necessary, at the customer's location.

Your profile

  • Completed degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in quality management
  • Experience as a quality inspector in aircraft assembly/maintenance
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, SAP, and G-Suite
  • Language skills in German (negotiation level) and English (proficient)
  • Part 66 module training / CS CAT-B1 license
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Solution-oriented and meticulous working approach
  • Assertiveness, self-reliance, flexibility, resilience
